Whether you’re looking to style your space or just genuinely tired of getting out of bed to grab that thing you forgot you needed, we’ve put a list together of the 5 most important things you need on your nightstand.

Some Light

A lamp on your bedside table will not only be put to good use but its also incredibly convenient. No more getting up to turn off the light before bed. But depending on the size of your nightstand, they tend to take up space you need for other bedside necessities. Opting for a bedside sconce instead will help you stick to practicality while adding a slightly modern, minimalist, aesthetic. Now that you’ve made room, you can make sure you’ve got everything else you need.

A Glass of Water

We’ve all been there. You get into bed, tuck yourself in, relieved that you’re finally ready to call it a night. Suddenly, you’re parched and the walk to the kitchen seems longer than usual. When you’re ready to turn in, don’t forget your glass of water. The future you says thanks!

Literature

Limiting blue light exposure before bed is said to grant you a more restful sleep. So, keep a good read on your nightstand to remind you it’s time to ditch your phone. It may be a juicy novel or that cool magazine you picked up a while back and have been meaning to get back to. But if you’re more of the “it’s been a long day, straight to sleep” type, don’t worry. Books and magazines can be used as a design element to style your space.

An Alarm

In line with keeping phone usage in bed to a minimum, adding an alarm clock to your nightstand set-up is both super practical and stylish. Depending on the style, it’s can be a great way to add a pop of color or say something more serious and structured about your bedroom.

A Candle

Aromatherapy has a unique way of setting the mood. Keeping a candle on your nightstand can help you wind-down or stay alert depending on what you’re ready for and what scent you light up. Our AM to PM Set has a range that will be sure to help no matter what time of day you’re chilling in bed. There’s a scent for any mood, any time of day (literally).

When the right things are living on your nightstand, you won’t have the unfortunate experience of getting up after you’ve found your cozy spot to grab the thing you need.
