At Brooklinen, we believe what makes a house a home is sharing it with the ones you love. Unfortunately, for some New Yorkers, finding a place to call home is a struggle in its own right. Every night, thousands of LGBTQ+ youth have nowhere to go, making up over 40% of NYC’s homeless population.
In honor of Pride Month and in support of our city’s LGBTQ+ community, we’re making special donations this month to New Alternatives, an organization dedicated to helping NYC's homeless LGBTQ+ youth. By offering educational services, life skills training, and community-building recreational activities, New Alternatives helps increase the self-sufficiency of LGBTQ+ homeless youth by enabling them to transition out of the shelter system to stable adult lives.
We're donating part of every purchase made this month to New Alternatives and appreciate you helping us give back. We can all sleep more soundly at night knowing that we’ve made a difference in the lives of our city’s homeless youth.
