Luxe Sateen is more delicate. It can snag more easily and may pill over time if washed on high heat or with rough fabrics. Treat it gently and it'll keep its sheen. For both, we recommend cold water, a gentle cycle, and tumble dry low.

Does Thread Count Matter?

Less than you think. Thread count is one factor, but the weave and quality of the cotton matter more.

For percale, a thread count between 200 and 400 is the sweet spot. Above that, you're often looking at inflated counts that don't reflect real quality. Our Classic Percale has a 270 thread count.

For sateen, thread counts typically run higher — 300 to 600 — because of how the weave is constructed. A 400-thread-count sateen will feel noticeably different from a 400-thread-count percale, even if the number is the same. Our Luxe Sateen has a 495 thread count.
